Guide Dave Stejskal, on tour in the Philippines with co-leader Tim Fisher and our group, emailed an update from the trip. “We just got back from St. Paul’s/Underground River National Park on Palawan, where we had some fabulous views of “Old Faithful,” as Tim calls a male Palawan Peacock-Pheasant that has been reliable near the park guard station at the Underground River for the past nine years. We’re not sure how long he’ll last, but for now it’s quite a show — he’s definitely got the WOW factor!
